Glowforge @ Maimonides
Maimonides Science teacher Katie Smith fires up the new Glowforge laser printer in the Maimonides Science Lab Maker Space. The Glowforge laser printer is a wireless desktop 3D laser printer that works with design programs and stores the designs & data in the cloud. You can make an endless variety of useful, beautiful, and practical things from different materials like wood, leather, felt, fabric, acrylic, paper, and more. Katie will begin using the laser printer during this summer’s STEM camp in preparation for use in the coming school year as part of science courses and the after school STEM program. The new Glowforge laser printer is part of the Science Lab Maker Space initiative being funded by the David Lear Sulman fund at Maimonides School.
